Cheap Business and First class from Chicago to Paris
Once you fly first class, nothing ever comes close. For most people, the experience is so unlike any other that they never choose anything but First Class from that point onwards.
Advantages of Flying First Class
Maybe it is the extraordinary personal treatment, where staff on the ground and in the air address you by name and give you their undivided attention in every interaction. Perhaps it could be the opulence and luxury that surround you at every step, again from the moment that you step into the airport, not just on the plane itself.
Either reason or each in parts, you will remember your first class experience for a long time to come.
No less than eight different airlines fly the direct route from Chicago to Paris without any intermediate connections. However, there is just one airline that offers first class seats on this route and that is United Airlines. They operate a daily overnight flight that leaves Chicago's O’Hare International Airport in the evening just before 6 p.m. and lands at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) midway through the following morning at 9.30 a.m.
If you would rather fly business class from Chicago to Paris without any connections, there are two options besides United. American Airlines and the French national carrier, Air France also operate direct lights out of O'Hare Airport. Both these flights also land at Paris's CDG Airport.
Of the three, American Airlines is the fastest at just 7 hours 55 minutes. Air France takes 8 hours 20 minutes and United, 8 hours 35 minutes. In this sense, American makes most sense since it takes off from Chicago just after 7 p.m. and lands in France at 10 a.m.
You will prefer the American airlines because they both feature lie-flat seats in business class while Air France only has angled flat seats which would be considerably less comfortable on an overnight flight.
United and American fly the Boeing 767-300 and the Boeing 777-200 respectively on this route while Air France uses the Airbus A330-200. All three aircraft are twin-jets.
The Airbus cruises at the highest altitude of the three, 11,280 m while United's 767 flies the lowest at 10,050 m. American Airlines' flight skirts the middle at 10,680 m.
Airports in Paris
There are three airports in Paris. However, all direct flights from Chicago land at Paris’s Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport.
It is located about 35 km north of Paris. The trip by road will take you about half an hour in normal traffic. The airport is also connected to Paris by a high speed rail system. However, you will have to first catch the light rail system, Orlyval, from the airport to access the Paris urban transit rail system.
