With billions of dollars invested in purchasing new aircraft and retrofitting existing airplanes over the past three years, the world's top air carriers just keep improving their business class and first class options. Increasingly, business class services are on a par with some first class, and first class seats are nearly over the top with luxurious amenities. This ever-escalating quality of business class flight offerings makes it tricky to cull out the world's best business class fares. But, we like our savvy travelers to be on top of the latest in travel news, so here's IFlyFirstClass' picks for the top 10 business class flights.

At No. 10 is the often-overlooked Korean Air, with its refreshingly light cabins, exquisitely attentive service and Prestige sleeper flat beds. Travelers looking to unwind on board are delighted to find a Celestial Lounge, and those who just can't get enough of duty-free shopping can continue their browsing at the world's only in-air duty-free shop.

Turkish Airlines understands that you can never go wrong with a pre-meal snack of Godiva chocolate and Turkish Deligh. The No. 9 business class fare includes lush amenity kits, cushy slippers, free wireless Internet, complimentary tours of Istanbul, a luscious culinary menu and comfortable lie-flat beds.

Dubai's Emirates business class is the epitome of luxury, from the incredibly spacious A380 business class cabins to chauffeur service. The No. 8 airline has made a name for itself in luxury travel circles for its sumptuous amenities, entertainment options, in-air bar and refined meal service.

Innovative Virgin Atlantic's friendly and open atmosphere rings in at No. 7 on our list. The company's long-haul business class flights offer it all: fully flat beds, privacy, on-board high-speed Internet, pajamas, large amenity kits and engaging, responsive service.

With one of the longest-held reputations for polished service and plentiful amenities, Qantas' business class seats continue to please. Lie-flat beds offer relaxing massage options, meals are palate-pleasing and personal on-demand entertainment systems help pass the time.

Privacy and service are the hallmarks of Etihad's business class fares. Lush full-flat beds, fine dining and wine pairings are in-air luxuries, matched by personal chauffeur door-to-door limousine service on the ground.

Stretch out in luxury on Oman Air's full-flat 77-and-a-half-inch beds and backrests that adjust with the touch of a button. The on-board entertainment system syncs with travelers' own devices for a full-range of entertainment options.

Qatar's business class service is pure pampering from the moment you head to the airport. Chauffeurs whisk passengers to private terminals to board the airline's fresh, new 787 Dreamliners. In-air cocktail lounges, ample work and storage space, large windows with touch control and noise-cancelling headphones make the journey a pleasurable event.

Although at No. 2, Cathay Pacific is no slouch in the luxury arena, providing extra-long lie-flat beds with hip supports, storage cabinets, a state-of-the-art rotating library of endless entertainment and high-end cuisine. The airline is also famous for its plush business class lounges, incredibly attentive service and reasonable pricing.

At the top of our list is Singapore Airlines, where business class flights specialize in effortless luxury. Every detail is tastefully executed, from solicitous crew and sophisticated culinary service to the widest business class seat in the industry. Passengers also enjoy direct aisle access, discriminating amenity kits and extensive entertainment options.

Plenty of other airlines made our honorable mention list, as most business class fares are full of gracious services and appointments. Whether you choose to go with top-rated Singapore Airlines or our No. 10 Korean Air, sumptuous journeys await.

1.) PRICE QUOTES: The fare prices provided for all passengers are quoted in US Dollars. Fares and availability are subject to change until ticketed. Prices are guaranteed only at time of purchase. All advanced ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Each ticket must be booked in the passenger’s name as it is precisely displayed on a government issued ID. Changing names on tickets is prohibited.

2.) CHECK DOCUMENTS: Please check your documents when you receive them. Passengers will be asked for a valid photo ID at time of flight check-in. If the name on the ticket and the passenger’s ID do not match, the passenger will be required to surrender the ticket and purchase the applicable fare for the departing flight. Children must have parent or legal guardian present at check-in. Individual airlines may have specific requirements for a non-accompanied child to travel. Call if you have any questions.

3.) RECONFIRMATIONS: Domestic: We recommend that you reconfirm all flights prior to departure and at each point of stopover. This will give the airline the opportunity to keep you advised of any changes which may have occurred in your flight. International: You must reconfirm your continuing or return reservations at least 72 hours prior to flight time at each point of stopover or your reservations will be automatically cancelled.

4.) CHECK-IN REQUIRMENTS: Domestic: 2 hours prior to departure. International: 3 hours prior to departure. Note: Check-In later than these times could result in denied boarding. 5.) Airlines may apply substantial fees and additional charges for changes to some non-refundable tickets prior to departure date. After departure date, your unused airline ticket may have no residual value. If canceling, return the unused tickets to us for refund or credit. Most special, excursion, and discount tickets have various travel restrictions and may have a penalty for change or cancellation. Be sure you understand these restrictions. If you change your plans enroute, ask the airline to apply the value of your unused ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket. If a refund is due, obtain a receipt from the airline. If you are holding guaranteed hotel reservations which you may wish to cancel, notify the hotel as soon as possible and in no event later than 4 p.m. local time to avoid mandatory payment.

7.) AIRLINE SCHEDULE CHANGES: Airlines reserve the right to cancel or change schedules without notice. Schedules shown are based on expected flying times as indicated by the airlines. 9.) LOST TICKETS: Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets must be paid for until refund is obtained from the issuing airline, subject to an airline imposed service charge.

10.) PREPAID TICKETS: If your travel agent arrangement involved a request for prepaid airline tickets, picked up by the passenger at an airline ticket counter, please note that most carriers require a mandatory non- refundable service charge. We appreciate your understanding of this charge imposed by the airline and not by our office, in order to provide this service.
